I've been on the hunt for a great bakery/cafe in the Haslett/MSU/Okemos area (besides chapelure) and Koala Cafe certainly fits the bill! Great, unique bakery options for any kind of mood and even better tea options! If they added coffee other cafes would face some serious competition! I'm obsessed.
Pictured is the (decaf) taro milk tea (50% sugar, brown sugar boba, low ice), strawberry fruit cup, tempura shrimp purple rice wrap, and taro crepe cake. Total was around $25.
This is hands down my favorite place to get Chinese food anywhere in Lansing! Their service is always amazing, their food and tea is even better somehow, and a little singing robot delivers your food to your table extremely quickly. It’s never too overcrowded or loud. Great place to hang out, study, or bring a date. My girlfriend and I love it!!

Everything is great here. Every baked good is perfect and the hot food is also excellent.
I love the calamari and the szechuan fries in particular, along with the strawberry bread or Sakura bread
Desserts are unique and fresh and never disappoint. Milk tea is also great and the fresh fruit options they have are great as well. Matcha roll and Sakura Cheese bread (super soft and tastes like cheesecake)
Fantastic staff and food! We love the boba tea and cake options. We come here a lot, so they always take great care of us. My kids love the cakes and different drinks.
I love Koala Bakery! The milk tea’s are amazing. The food is Amazing!! The cafe its self is cute and has a warm inviting atmosphere. The owner is super cool and friendly! Staff is always great!
